So some of you may have heard about Dragon Dictation or Dragon Remote Microphone, apps that can be found in the iTunes App Store. I use Dragon Dictation every single day. I find it easiest way to send off memos, e-mails and even for updating my Facebook status. However, for the moment I want to talk about Dragon Remote Microphone.

Most people would not be aware of this, but I quite literally have to reply to hundreds and hundreds of e-mails per week. Dealing with new customers, setting up appointments and negotiations for some applications we're developing, requires lots of email typing. What better person to reply to my e-mails than the person who knows the most about our products and services besides myself.

Now, on top of answering all those e-mails, I also have the phone ringing all day. You know, customers, my production team and the occasional call from the bookkeeper. Nevertheless responding to e-mails, creating proposals and just all the typing that I would have to do in a normal day can be a little difficult with the added duties of answering my own calls. Needless to say and some of you may already know this but I'm one of those 2 finger fumblers. So I also used Dragon Dictate on my MacBook Pro. I can accomplish e-mails, proposals and yes even my blogging. This very blog was dictated using Dragon Dictate for Mac.

Are you surprised at the accuracy? Well don't be, because I'm using the Dragon Remote Microphone in conjunction with my Dragon Dictate software on my Mac.

The Dragon Remote Microphone app turns the iPhone into a wireless microphone making it easier and more comfortable for individuals to use their Dragon Desktop software. Instead of using the microphone that comes in the retail box, users can now opt to use their iPhone as a microphone instead.

It's really quite impressive and it types faster than me. To give you some level of accuracy as to how quickly this can type I created this whole blog post in under 7 min. That included inserting the images and hosting the blog live.

Anyway it's time for me to respond to some more e-mails LOL :-)
